Entrepreneurial Activities and Associations to Get Involved with at Drexel!

September 18, 2017

Classes are about to begin, Welcome Week is well underway, and you’re likely very eager to meet fellow entrepreneurially-minded students! But where to begin? Below is a list of some of Drexel’s opportunities for you to learn about to make the most out of your time at the Close School:

iDEA

The innovative Drexel Entrepreneurship Association (iDEA) is a student-run organization dedicated to providing entrepreneurial events, resources, and connections. The organization’s goal is to help students of any major to develop original ideas, connect with like-minded people, and take advantage of the many resources available on campus!

Entrepreneurship Co-op

The co-op program is a hallmark of a Drexel education, but at the Close School, we do things a little differently. We provide students, no matter what their major, an opportunity to use their company as their co-op experience. Students accepted into this program receive a dedicated workspace in the Baiada Institute, mentorship from Close School faculty and experienced entrepreneurs, and up to $15,000 in funding.

Startup Fest

Whether you're a student entrepreneur, an experienced business professional, or someone interested in the entrepreneurial world, Startup Fest is filled with opportunities and competitions to help further your career.

This two-day celebration of Philadelphia entrepreneurship is packed with panel discussions, competitions, and showcases. Student entrepreneurs can present their ideas to a panel of judges for the opportunity to win cash prizes, mentorship from established entrepreneurs, and exclusive workspace in the Baiada Institute! Mark your calendars for November 8 & 9 - you don't want to miss this!

Baiada events

The Baiada Institute hosts events for student entrepreneurs to gain advice from established entrepreneurs or participate in competitions to earn prizes. These events aim to help students gain experience and perspective outside of the classroom while they’re still in school. Take a look at the full list of upcoming events and register for the topic that piques your interest!

What are you waiting for? Get involved with the Close School’s opportunities today!
